Truth for a Christmas Eve?

The most memorable and truly meaningful Christmas Eve was the one where my Mom and I (she was in her early 60’s and I was in my early 20’s) went to Wendy’s for dinner. (Mid 1980’s to provide some context.)

It was just the two of us at that point. My siblings all had families of their own and while she and my dad had been divorced for a while, he had just passed away.

There was a lot and a little going on in her life.

I remember sitting there at the Wendy’s on Albemarle Road in Charlotte, NC, consuming a burger, fries and a coke and the two of us, talking about how funny and downright rebellious we felt being there.

I swear, it’s the little moments…little pearls of being…where our lives are made.

Good morning Tuesday Friends.
