A couple of weeks ago I made a very intentional decision to leave Facebook.

When I deactivated my account “they” asked why. I thought about it for a minute and I realize that at this time in my life, the negatives far outweigh the positives. The platform no longer serves me; it’s simply not good for my mental health.

Yesterday I went back on for about 12 hours and immediately noticed its impact on my well being and state of mind.

It’s addictive for me and so what do folks struggling with addiction do to get over and to the other side? They solicit the help of a sponsor. I reached out to my friend Shannon Weatherly who made the shift a couple of years ago and asked her if she would be my “go to” support when I felt like I needed to get back on the Facebook platform. She can talk me out of it.

She said yes.

This morning when I re-deactivated my account, I swear to you, I felt more spacious…as if there was more room for something bolder and bigger to step into my life.

In the meantime I enjoyed this pour over coffee and watched the sunrise.

Good morning to you.
