Safe Places

Is there an antonym for inspiration? Because today’s post, unfortunately is whatever that is.

So if you don’t want to read this, don’t. I respect that. We are all just trying to make sense.

Last night my kids and I established a safe-go-to-place should any natural or unnatural disasters lead to our need to find each other, without access to the internet…the ability to communicate.

We joked for half a second about zombies and burnt out vehicles, because nobody really wants to think about this kind of thing.

We probably should’ve done this long ago.

I wonder if things will ever change or whether it’s always a weird kind of forever-and-ever balancing act between the love of power and the power of love…a balancing act that fluctuates back-and-forth over time.

“Nothing is sweeter and more addictive than power, the unlucky soul this demon possesses, if he is not sacrificed on its altar will sacrifice others himself to get it.”
