I Am Not Broken

This past year I’ve done a lot of research…on myself.

I’ve learned a lot.

1. I am not broken. I never have been, never will be. I’ve had isht happen, but that doesn’t mean I’m broken. Broken to describe a human being is a word used by people who are afraid of coloring outside the lines. Broken is a word used to control people. I am not broken and neither are you.

2. I am not different either. Different is just a euphemism for broken.

3. 1 and 2 do not exclude me from being accountable for my actions. The isht I’ve experienced in my life, has established some coping mechanisms and behaviors in my life that require my attention.

4. Words can hurt and help. Using a word to put another person down…not good. Using a word to help someone (including myself) find identity and self-understanding is good.

6. I want to be more like my dogs.

7. I’ve never understand the whole coupling thing. I tried that on and it just didn’t work for me. I thought I was broken, (see number one). But now I am happy.

8. I really value exercise and appreciate it’s ability to release energy.

9. I have a funny tic with my eyebrows that I used to be embarrassed by, but now I love it.

10. I like things to be in fives or tens. I always have. Even as a kid, I loved reciting the fives and tens times tables. That’s why I’ve included this final item. 😂😂😂
