Tangerine Skies

I don’t have anything to share except how grateful I am for coffee first thing in the morning, the ability to snack throughout the day, and the cool-almost-psychedelic dream I had while under anesthesia today.

I woke up and cried for a good ten minutes. The nurse told me that a lot of people cried when they came off this type of anesthesia. “It’s one of the side effects.”

I told her I had just floated down from the most beautiful dream…an actual alternate universe, with pink, purple and candy cotton clouds, and a ribbon of road that stretched like salt water taffy into an infinite sky …and I was crying because I wanted to go back.

“It’s the anesthesia,” she said again, with a warm smile.

I kept crying even after I was ready to stop, just to prove my point. 💜🧡💛

Because I can’t share a picture of that alternate universe with you, I’ll share this pic of TJ, because I’m grateful for him too and he sometimes feels like an alternate universe with how much pink, purple and cotton-candy-joy he brings into my life.

Happy New Year for realz, my friends. We are all in this universe together.

“You are a function of what the whole universe is doing in the same way that a wave is a function of what the whole ocean is doing.”
