3, 2, 1…Blast Off!

I remember when my kids were tiny.  They used to love the swing at our local park.  Hank would sit in the swing so long sometimes, he would fall asleep in it.

One of their favorite activities was 3, 2, 1…Blast off.  I would stand behind them while they were seated in the swing;  lift the swing as high as I could to where it was nearly over my head and slowly and VERY dramatically start a countdown from 10.

10, 9, 8…all the way down to 3, 2…and then sometimes I would pretend like I was letting the swing go and sometimes I would start the countdown over again at 10!

The suspense always brought a ton of giggles and sometimes screams of delight!

Well, I feel  like the last few months have been a bit like that, waiting for the arrival of my new book.  It seems I would start to get excited about it, begin the countdown and then my perfectionism would do a number on me and I’d insist on some last-minute changes.

But no more!  The books will be in my hands no later than the end of June, probably sooner.

Today on Facebook, I posted a call-out to anyone who might be interested in hosting a Book-Launch gathering and I’m excited to see interest from several cities.

For those of you who don’t know this, I went on a cross-country trip in 2014 and visited over 20 cities in 30 days.  The adventure was life-changing; and so I have to admit, that I feel a few butterflies and some excitement about the possibility of something similar rising up as we explore a Book-Launch in your city.

I’m percolating a few ideas on how these events will be experiential and interactive and would love to co-create a fun, provocative and inspirational experience with you in your city.  Email me and the team at thewisdomstories@mollybarker.com.

And don’t forget…you can order your book at this link! Order book link.
